Can an inspection robot be operated without an external connection?

With many systems, yes – operation without any external connection is technically possible and is increasingly offered as a configuration option.

For operators of critical infrastructure, this is often the only acceptable option. The price is the loss of convenience functions: no remote maintenance, no automatic updates, no analysis by the manufacturer.

Have isolated operation confirmed in writing and demonstrated in the acceptance test – for example by means of a network capture.
