Can the robot be used in the rain?

With ingress protection IP67, yes – the robot itself is designed for wet conditions.

What is often overlooked, however, is the charging station. With many systems it is considerably less well protected and requires a covered installation location. Anyone who wants to operate the device outdoors in automated mode must clarify this point before procurement.

A second restriction: heavy precipitation, fog and snowfall impair LiDAR and cameras. Locomotion works; measurement quality suffers.
