Is “TÜV-tested” relevant for robots?

There is no “TÜV approval” for inspection robots. What counts is CE conformity.

Technical inspection organisations can, however, provide voluntary services: type examinations, expert review of the risk assessment, support in the conformity assessment procedure. For imported products this is useful additional evidence, but no substitute for the declaration of conformity.

If a supplier advertises with “TÜV-tested”, ask what exactly was tested and whether a certificate stating the scope of testing is available.
