For which plants is an inspection robot worthwhile?
When three conditions come together: the inspection round is repeated frequently, it is demanding or dangerous for people, and the inspection points are stable enough to be taught in once.
The calculation is particularly favourable at unmanned or rarely staffed sites, where every inspection means a journey there.
If one of the three conditions is missing, the effort is usually not justified. In strongly changing environments, the effort for ongoing adaptation often exceeds the benefit. A short check is provided in the guide for operators.
