Acceptance and responsibility

Does an inspection robot replace jobs?

In practice to date, predominantly not. The sound wording is: it replaces the walk-through, not maintenance.

Tasks shift from recurring inspection rounds towards evaluation and dealing with the anomalies detected. In any case, the most common reason for a procurement is not staff reduction but the opposite: inspection scopes that cannot be carried out at the desired frequency with the existing staff.

Where this assessment does not hold in a specific case, it should not be claimed either. Glossing over damages acceptance more than an honest statement does.

The other two concerns and their answers are set out in the guide to acceptance in robot deployment.
