Data protection and works council

What belongs in a works agreement on robot deployment?

At a minimum: the purpose of use, areas and times, types of data recorded, retention period, persons with access, exclusion of monitoring of performance and conduct, the procedure in the event of breaches, employees' rights to information and a provision on evaluation.

Technical provisions are also advisable: no biometric analysis, automatic blurring of persons, logging of access.

The more specific the agreement, the more robust it is. General assurances do not resolve the workforce's concerns. A detailed list is given in the guide to data protection and co-determination.
